Feeling my heart race as she crossed the floor
And I recall the first kiss
Few hours after we’d first spoke
The taste upon her lips
And the longing it left when it broke.

So what will become

We had it worked out
Then entered doubts
Now it’s coming apart at the seams

For her

We used to be so in love
I thought nothing would tear us apart
But life and time took their toll
And the taxman sure played his part
Tried to live on a dream but
